© Luís Palacio, Desde la edición anterior se ha establecido un nuevo sistema de votación para el concurso el más raro de los raros. Se ha podido votar via facebook y twitter a los 10 candidatos presentados en esta 10ª edición. Por primera vez ha ganado  un pájaro encontrado muerto. Después de unos dias de votación y 224 votos contabilizados, el nuevo ‘más raro de los raros’ 2019 es el avetorillo plomizo Ixobrychus sturmii , primero para España peninsular después de las citas canarias, una de ellas con el ave aún en Fuerteventura. Encontrado en Zaragoza por Luis Palacio en octubre, esta cita ha obtenido un total de 65 votos (7 en twitter y 58 en facebook), el 29,01% de los emitidos. Con 32 votos y el 14,28% de los votos, ha quedado el segundo clasificado, el alcaudón pardo Lanius cristatus , segundo para España, citado en Galicia y aún presente en enero 2020. On 6.7.2019 a brown and white gannet was seen off Arnao, Asturias (Saúl Rodríguez).  See two photos below. The bird was initially identified as a Brown Booby ( Sula leucogaster ) mostly on the basis of the face pattern and overall black and brown plumage. © Saúl Rodríguez, 6.7.2019   © Saúl Rodríguez, 6.7.2019 On 9.7 Daniel López Velasco, after being contacted by Jorge Valella who initially realised the bird was not a Brown Booby, confirmed that the photos of the bird and initial thoughts of Jorge were right so the bird was indeed a 1st summer Northern Gannet ( Morus bassanus ).
