Brown Shrike, rarest of the rare 2015 [Alcaudón pardo, el más raro de los raros 2015]
No hubo sorpresa. El alcaudón pardo, primero para España, visto en el delta de l'Ebre entre enero y abril de 2015 ha sido votado por el 59% de los participantes en el concurso anual 'el más raro de los raros' como la rareza anual de 2015.
Los 72 votos emitidos en un periodo acortado de votaciones en relación a años anteriores han dictaminado cláramente que el Lanius cristatus, que incluso llegó a aparecer por televisión, merecía este galardón. Segundo en el concurso ha quedado un limícola, solo visto por un grupo familiar de observadores y sin embargo deseado por muchos, el correlimos zancolín visto en l'Empordà, Girona, con un 26% de los votos (n=19). En tercer lugar, otro limícola también escaso, el chorlitejo mongol de Lanzarote, con 14 votos, un 19% del total.

No surprise. Brown Shrike, 1st for Spain, seen at Ebre delta from January till April 2015 has become the rarest of the rare 2015 thanks to a 59% of the votes on this non-profit annual contest.
The 72 voting people in a shortened period compared to previous editions have clearly declared this Shrike as the rarest species seen in Spain during 2015. It even made it into Catalan TV so it well deserved this non-profit rank.
Second in the poll has been the Empordà county Stilt Sandpiper, only seen by a few luck observers but wished by many more. A 26% of votes (n=19) granted for the 2nd position achieved. Third was another intersting wader: the Lanzarote Lesser Sand Plover. It gathered 14 votes, a 19% of total.
